Custom Hoodies: Embroidery or Printing? How to Choose
Custom hoodies are a staple for teams, crews, schools and clothing brands. The right decoration method depends on your design, where it goes and how many you need. Here's a simple way to decide.
Embroidery: premium chest logos
Embroidery stitches your logo in thread. It looks premium, lasts as long as the hoodie and is ideal for left-chest logos, sleeves and corporate or team wear. Fine details and very small text can lose definition in thread, so simpler logos work best.
Screen printing: best value for larger runs
Screen printing is the most cost-efficient method for larger quantities and spot-colour designs, including big back prints. It's the usual choice for team orders, events and brand drops.
DTF and DTG: full colour, smaller quantities
DTF transfers and DTG printing handle full-colour artwork, gradients and photos without screen setup, which makes them ideal for smaller runs or designs with many colours.
Quick guide
- Logo on the chest, premium look: embroidery.
- Large back print, many hoodies: screen printing.
- Full-colour design, small run: DTF or DTG.
- Not sure? Send us your design and quantity and we'll recommend the best fit.
